OnJanuary2,2015DescoIndustries,Inc.ofChino,Californiapurchasedtheassetsof3M’sStaticControlbusiness.TheoperationswillcontinueintheSanford,NorthCarolinafacilityunderthenewbrand,SCS.Originallyincorporatedin1956,DeltaElectricalSpecialtyCompany(DESCO)manufacturedandsoldacontinuity/voltagetestercalledtheCircuitracer.In1979theparentcompanyofDescoIndustriesInc.(DII)wasestablished.DIInowconsistsofbrandsincludingDesco,CMG,DescoAsia,EMIT,Menda,ProtektivePak,SmartClock,StatguardFlooring,Charleswater,andVermason.ThesamebasicdesignusedfortheoriginalCircuitracerisstillmanufacturedtodayandisofferedthroughtheMendabrand.
